Thought of e day: NJ ARE YOU READY!??
sch rox!! ok at least for e orientation weeks. its SO cool n fun. nj really aint wad outsiders tink. boring..lifeless..sucky..plain..non active n lack of enthusiasm...WROONGGG!! totally wrongg. i feel welcomed n felt their nj spirit. nj is quite a bonded sch i muz say..loads of cheering to bring ppl tgt as one family. n SOO sorry for e lack of updates abt my exciting life. hahaa. ok so here comes e details n BEWAREEEE of a DARN LONG entry=)
SUNDAY!
went cut hair wif jie..she din cut...i did. it was wayy scary. u can ask px hw fearful i am abt cuttin hair n im always fussy abt it. well went to hair profile n tis male stylist was really lyk funky n lyk "hey i tink u shld..blah blah blah" n went on to suggest hw my hair shld b cut. so im lyk..hmm..OK LA!! fine go ahead.. i need a change too.
so here comes my new hair!! its alot lighter n thinner than last time. n its kinda less bland frm e back view n more movement. i like it=)
MONDAY!
first day of e ODSSESY njc adventure orientation 2007. we were reshuffled into our civics classes n den grouped into our clans. clans r actually our houses but they call it clans cuz of e ori. programme la. im in LOPEZ clan!!!!! aka the orange one. there's six hs in njc.
purple-- hs name: aerius , clan name: alvarez
blue-- hs name: aqua, clan name: azara
yellow-- hs name: soleris, clan name: shackleton
orange-- hs name: lignum, clan name: lopez
red-- hs name: ignies, clan name: ingstad
green-- hs name: terra, clan name: torres
so e programme started wif an official intro of all e hs aka the walk in. n its nt lyk oh lets welcome blahblah hs n e captain n a few members will juz parade infront of every1 waving their hs flags. NOOOO! they hv a mini performance incorporating dances, skits, props, lightings n music. so its kinda cool la..im impressed.
so we had sum clan n og aka ori. group bonding sessions. its lyk e usual event of the ori. days. im in og24!!! ITS ROCKS! we had a realy cool 'woo ah ah' cheer. its so fun. e ppl in my og r fun n cool ppl too la..better than my previous og. more lively n i manage to memorise al their names by third day of e week. muahaha.
TUES!
the station games!! frm e morning all e way to afternoon we go frm stations to stations ard e colledge wif our og n play e games. we r kinda lan so we were lik consistantly in e '2nd' place. hahaha. but we did win sum la. so nt tt ma lu. haha. the games are really quite cool, creative n innovative. not those sian sian clique ones lyk musical chair or passing e puzzle. hahaha. so i had a v good time.
had og session again. our ogls are really cool ppl! they are nv short of games to play man. i learnt soooooo many new group games la!! damn fun n all i nv play b4 one lor. so its lyk almost unique to njc. yayness=).
clan session was cool too..learnt sum cheers n i especially love e lignum beat. WAY loud n high. lignum rox!
WED!!
EXTERNAL HUNT!! its our island wide hunt. well..its nt exactly as fun as i thought la so was kinda disappointed. we were assigned to jurong n our hunt begins there. we hv to complete five points n complete e task. n jurong is NOT our place so we had a 'good' time walkin ard n ard findin e exact spot of e task despite hving a map in hand. bt it was a gd chance to interact n mingle ard wif my classmates la. so its gd afterall=) can exercise also since im so fat. hahaha.
we had to complete two zones. e second zone is at chinatown n little india. ate our lunch in super lightin speed. i ate a double cheese burger upsized meal BUTTT i was hungry again 2 hrs later. its the walking..NOT me. hahaa.
THURS!!
oh oh i forgot..everyday of e week we had mass dance n e first day i danced wif my pri sch classmate! lyk omg. i was lyk *GASP* when i saw him cuz i really cldnt regconise him at first but found his face damn familiar. we r suppose to partner a guy for e dance but our og only has five guys n im still e unlucky ones. BLAHH..poor luck. for e rest of e consecutive days of mass dance i danced wif a girl..wahaha. it feels so much at ease. e dances were NOT easy..not those aerobics simple steps. its quite challenging.
FRI!!! its e most exciting day of e week!!!
1st excitement: WAR GAMESSSS!!!!!! lopez was against azara. let me explain hw e game goes.
every team has a terriory. there's tis square formed wif benches n in e middle placed a bucket. each team will try their best to fill e bucket of e other team with water using water bombs. both teams will b given 5 mins to fill up water bombs n they can do so in e midst of e game too. so when e whistle goes, almost everyone charged towards e other side wif water bombs in hand n attemptin to bomb it into e bucket. so i was one of e 'chargers' n i was 'bombed' wif water bombs e moment e game started lor!!! wah seh i was so wet man. n there are also defenders la to prevent ppl frm bombin their bucket. it was SO chaotic bt it was fun la.
2nd excitement: our civics tutor!!! he's SOO nice n cool. so glad to hv him as our form teacher. he's v open n funny n there's lk not much gap btwn him n e class so tts good=) went to class n did sum admin stuff. there was time left b4 we hv to go bck to e hall so we played hang man wif our tcher n e class. hahaa super funny.
3rd excitement: CAMPFIRE cum DANCE PARTY cum POTLUCK!!!
camp fire cldnt take place cuz of e stupid rain n bbq obviously aint possible too so we ordered pizza. e damn pizza took a HELL long to come so we juz sat ard n socialized..played sum games to entertain ourselves too. n it FINALLY came..10 big box of pizzas! yumilicious. dance party was quite cool too! there's a professional dj n e songs played were GOOODDD! got cool clubbing lightings n loud blasting music. its juz like a club. bt i was rather unhigh n by e time i gt quite high..soon every ting ended ler. blah. nvm i still had fun. i heard px crashed into our dance party n had fun too. hahha i noe hc is too boring. hahaa.
FUN facts abt MY SCH=) :
1. nj has no hair accessories rules. u can wear coloured hair ties..hair bands..clips..anyting any colour but cannot dye hair la.
2. almost no earrings rules too. altho its mentioned 'simple ear studs' but no body actually cares. all e seniors are walkin ard wif cool earstuds. but of cuz dangling earrings are way too obvious.
3. almost no shoes rules. its stated "black/white based canvas shoes. no too loud colours" but again..no body realy cares n bothers.
4. in e handbook, there's not much sch rules abt ur dressing. guys can lyk use hair wax n stuff. the rules are really quite slack.
5. e canteen food rocks. i LOVE LOVE LOVE e awesome bubble tea store!!! its SOOOO freaking CHEAPP!! max. $1.20. n its not those lan lan ones. its those pro ones u see in orchard la. its GOODD. i always buy one b4 i go hme..hees. damn nice i love e oreo chocolate ice blended. loads of flavours too.
SEE!?? hw wrong ppl tink of nj as a boring n PLAIN sch. its NOOT=) so i really hope i can stay here cuz im begining to love tis place=)
ok enough of nj promo. hahaha.
TODAY!!!! aka saturday.
went shopping wif e most unexpected combinations - my mum n my neighbour. lyk EHH!? dotz. but it was quite fruitful. to cut e very-scarily-long post short..i bought two a&f polo tees..one yellow n e other brown..n e a&F denim skirt. bought it at far east at e store..its real n its cheap. not those damn fake ones. bought five pierre cardin arb sets n a few undies. yay! im satisfied. retail therapy rox!
